Eliseo Chacon

Survived By: Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Amy Chacon; children, Chay Bunch and his wife, Andrea, Henry Welch and his wife, Courtney, Bryant Bunch and his wife, Karen, Amy Welch, Darrell Chacon and his wife, Rachael, Steve Chacon and Hiram Welch; grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Cynthia, Adrian, Jeremiah, Julianna, Ian, Zachary, Katy, Chloe, Elijah, Aiden and Elena; siblings, Daniel Chacon, Juan Chacon, Zacharias Chacon, Melky Chacon and Rachel Fierro; numerous nieces and nephews.

Eliseo hadn't been sick but came down with a stomache ache night of Dec 16th, he canceled going to a church meeting and went to bed. His wife Amy found him unresponsive in the morning, Monday Dec. 17th, he had passed away in his sleep. He was born to Juan Canas and Ruperta Rodrigues Chacon on March 17, 1945, in El Paso, Texas. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He married Imelda “Amy” Maria Salcido on Dec. 31, 1993, in Keene. Eliseo was an Educator (teacher) in the Fort Worth ISD, retiring in 1998 and then continuing to teach adult education with the Cleburne ISD for several years. He was a member of both Cleburne and Alvarado Spanish Seventh-day Adventist churches. He was dedicated to his faith and church, often being the unseen servant who mowed the church lawn or built the needed props for programs for example. His music was prominent throughout his life. He was a talented harmonica, guitar and saw player as well as vocalist. One of his children's fondest memories was waking up to his guitar playing on Sabbath mornings. He was very family oriented. He often took the children on spur of the moment trips to visit family in other areas of the country. Family get-togethers brought him much joy in his adult life. Eliseo was a giver, often known for putting the needs of others above his own needs. He was a talented craftsman, especially in welding and woodworking. He could make or build anything from toys to furniture. His laughter and love for life will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him
